If you're just beginning your sewing journey, it can feel a bit overwhelming—there's so much to learn! From choosing the right sewing machine to figuring out how to load a bobbin (wait, what even is a bobbin?), the basics can be tricky. But don’t worry! I’ve found an article that's almost as good as having Grandma to learn from. It breaks down beginning sewing concepts in a way that’s easy to understand, helping you build a solid foundation. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking for a refresher, this guide has you covered. Sewing Basics and Beginnings

Introduction

Hello, my name is Gabby, and I’m so excited to welcome you to my little corner of the internet! I created this blog with one goal in mind: to help you fall in love with sewing just as I have. But before we dive into all the fun projects and tips, let me share a bit about myself. I got my first sewing machine as a Christmas gift from my grandma when I was 9 years old.  My very first project was a black and yellow potholder, which I gifted to my Mom. She still uses it today, even though it's covered in stains from all the meals shared over the years. Every time she pulls it out of the drawer, I feel a sense of pride—knowing that something I made is still a part of our everyday lives years later. Sewing has brought joy and creativity into my life, and my hope for this blog is that it helps you experience that too. I want you to feel proud of every stitch and every project, so let’s dive in.
